My mom is part of the age of technological immigrants but you would never realize it. She has been familiar with computers for about as long as I have been alive; I don't remember a time that we didn't have one in our house. Her technological prowess has helped me a lot through the years and whenever I had a question about something going wrong on my computer, she's the one who knew what was wrong. My dad, on the other hand, barely has his technological green card. He uses the computer to check email and not much else.

Recently, I asked my mom a question about a flash drive malfunctioning. We were on the same page as to how to solve the problem; just format the device and see if it was fixed. My dad chimed in from the background "yeah, if you just format it, that should work." We both replied to him the same way,

"You have no idea what we're talking about right now!"
