Dear Sir or Madam:

A chorus part in a community theatre production of Finian's Rainbow in 2001 began my association and working relationship with Miss Anne Mohana.  She was a college student home for the summer, and accepted the job of choreographing and acting in the production.

Since that time, I've had the pleasure to work with her in several different capacities.  Her dancing and acting talent was obvious from the start, but Anne's dedication to the theatre and her cooperative spirit, as well as the rapport she develops with young performers are intangibles that I discovered as I worked on other projects with her.

Anne has been the choreographer for four summers at the performing arts camp I direct. In this venue, I observed her interaction with the kids in camp, most of them between 7 and16 years old.  With patience combined with toughness, Anne teaches movement and acting while she choreographs.  She relies on her training and ability to know what works and what doesn't.  As a director, I appreciate that she is willing to compromise when I make suggestions or offer my vision for the total production.

Anne is a joy to work with.  The kids love her, though she works them hard.  She helps them discover that the discipline of theatre leads to the success of the production.  She expects them to work hard, and sets the example for them.

If I were looking for someone to teach theatre, Anne Mohana would be on the top of my list.   I recommend her without reservation.

Yours truly,

Pat Hornsby Crochet
