The following essays, letters and testimonials all focus on the importance of civic engagement in our lives as students, citizens, and humans! They also address the difficulties I faced in becoming adjusted to the city and the changes it brought to my life. Throughout this class we have been pushed to explore the ideas of civic engagement and what it means to be civically engaged. While I may not have known what this term was in January I now believe I have a firm grasp and understanding for what civic engagement is.
